S&B Performance Intake Kits are engineered to maximize the amount of airflow to the engine. Exceptional design coupled with advanced research and development, allow S&B to get the power increases you demand and the protection you crave. And as with all of S&B Filters products, they are tested to the ISO 5011 Standard.
S&B Performance Intake Kits Feature:
- Washable, re-useable filter manufactured with four or eight layers of premium cotton gauze to maximize airflow and filtration.
- Custom high performance air box, isolates the filter from engine heat, drawing in cooler outside air to boost engine performance.
- Exceptional design streamlines airflow, allowing the engine to ingest more air, increasing horsepower.
- Simple to install
- CARB exempt. Each kit S&B produces is manufactured to the highest standards and submitted for CARB exemption*
(*in some cases, because of engineering innovations that are brand-new, approval is still pending)
- Made in the USA
Better Air Flow = More Horsepower
S&B's intake kits are engineered to improve the airflow to your car's engine. It starts with years of research and development, as well as the most technologically advanced testing. S&B tests to the ISO 5011 Air Filtration Standard in a climate-controlled lab when designing and testing their intake kits. This is the same technology used by Ford, Chrysler, and General Motors to design the original induction system that comes on your vehicle.
Thorough Research and Development
During their ISO 5011 testing, S&B first measures the restriction of the air flow through your vehicles original induction system in order to establish a baseline. The goal of a Performance Intake Kit is to reduce the restriction of the airflow to your vehicle's engine to allow the engine to \"breath\" easier. By reducing the restriction of the airflow, your engine will have better throttle response and produce more horsepower and torque. Since your engine will not have to work as hard to produce the required amount of power - the result is better fuel economy.
